Update

Hello all, I had a great conversation with Chris Cotta yesterday who has been working on freeing up the funding for the project. Currently he is working with Senator Stedman office to change the grant title to include 'Aesthetic and uplands improvements' and thus allow the artistic and paving/sidewalk to be allowable under the State funding. If all moves forward without any interruptions, the funding may become available in June. With the State funding secured, the EDA funds, which require matching funding, will become available. In all, we should end up with the original $35,000.00 we anticipated... just a little later than originally thought.

Given the timing of the funding, Chris is thinking the street paving and sidewalk will be initiated and completed following the 2010 tourist season.
